Tata Motors India is launching the Safari Dark Edition on 17th January. The Safari becomes the latest flagship to receive the dark treatment after the Harrier, Nexon and Altroz. The Tata Safari Dark Edition will get a number of exterior and interior cosmetic changes like the other cars in the dark edition.The Tata Safari will get a blacked-out exteriors and interiors. The SUV will get a blacked-out grill with matching alloy wheels, blacked-out chrome parts on the headlight and window surrounds, and a gloss black paint shade, as seen on the Harrier Dark Edition. The only chrome on the Safari Dark Edition will be on the Tata and Dark Edition logos.Similarly, on the inside, the three-row SUv will get an all-black theme across the cabin. The Safari Dark Edition is also expected to add ventilated seats, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and an air purifier.The mechanicals remain the same.Powering the Tata Safari will be a 2.0-litre diesel engine which is able to generate maximum output of 168 bhp and comes with the choice of either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. With a three-row cabin layout, Safari comes in 6-seater and 7-seater options.
