Sipradi Trading, the sole authorised distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, has officially launched the much-awaited
Tata Nexon EV compact SUV in Nepal at a starting price of Rs 35.99 Lakh.
The Nexon EV will be available in three variants -
XM (Rs 35.99 Lakh), XZ+ (Rs 37.99 Lakh), and XZ+ LUX (Rs 39.99 Lakh)
and will come with a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000km (whichever is earlier) on the battery and 3 years 1,25,000 Km (whichever is earlier) on the vehicle.
The Nexon EV promises zippy performance,
an ARAI-certified range of 312 km (real driving conditions fall between 250-270km)
, fast charging capability, and class-leading safety features. The Nexon EV which was launched in India in January 2020 has been a blockbuster success with more than 4500 Nexon EVs plying on Indian roads within a short span of time, capturing 65% of the Indian EV market.
Tata Motors extensively conducted an In-Market Testing (IMT) of the Nexon EV in the Nepalese terrain for at least 5000 km before its official launch.
The Tata Nexon EV was rigorously tested across several terrains comprising multiple cities, unpaved roads, and different highways. The noteworthy point here is that Tata Motors also became the first company in Nepal to conduct such tests so that it would help the company to set up a complete EV ecosystem in terms of state-of-the-art infrastructure and charging stations.
Tata Motors will be setting up a complete EV ecosystem and introducing the most successful EV products, along with an attractive service package, warranty on the battery, charging infrastructure with state-of-the-art DC chargers at strategic locations across the country, and innovative home charging facilities to name a few.As of now,
the company has already installed 8 DC Fast Chargers across the country.
The company also plans to install
15+ DC Fast Chargers within 150 km of all strategic road networks.
Also, the company will come up with
100+ AC charging points and on-demand mobile charging.
Tata Motors will also provide
free home charging device and installation services for seamless home charging solutions.
When plugged into a fast DC Charger, the Nexon EV will replenish 80% battery capacity within 60 minutes. In addition, the Nexon EV can be charged from any 15 amp plug point.
The new Nexon EV sports a bold and confident design that brings into play the Impact Design 2.0 language.
The new design further accentuates the already strong and purposeful stance of the Nexon, resulting in a road presence that makes it stand out & apart. On the inside, the Nexon EV cabin comes with a modern design, spacious interior, and premium sound management to deliver a comfortable drive.
The vehicle also comes with a 7-inch Harman infotainment system offering unmatched acoustics. It also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Nexon EV is equipped with a powerful and high-efficiency 127 bhp permanent-magnet AC motor powered by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The motor produces 245 Nm of instant torque from a standstill, enabling Nexon EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.9 seconds.
The EV comes with best-in-industry dust and waterproof battery pack which meets IP67 standards.
The Nexon EV measures 3,994 km in length, 1,811 mm in width, and stands 1,607 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and 205 mm ground clearance while the trunk capacity is at 350 liters.
The Nexon EV retains all its learnings from the Nexon Global NCAP rating and comes with class-leading safety features.
The Tata Nexon EV complies with the latest full-frontal, side-impact, and offset impact crash regulations. It gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and cornering stability control, ISOFIX anchorage for child seats, and camera-based reverse park assist.
The Nexon EV comes with two drive mode options – Drive & Sport.
It utilizes tech features like Regenerative Braking to charge the battery while coasting, Hill Ascent & Descent Assist to make driving on slopes more convenient and Smart Regen with Creep feature allows the user to tackle congested city traffic without fatigue.
