In its virtual world debut in Indonesia, Honda unveiled the all-new N7X concept. Despite the fact that the car is seen in prototype mode, it seems to be production-ready. The N7X stands for New 7-Seater Excitement and the three-row, seven-seat SUV concept from Honda is built as a substitute for the BR-V. It was built by Honda Asia Pacific. The Honda N7X looks cleaner and more muscular than the current BR-V, taking design cues from the new 5th Generation City. The newcomer, like the car it replaces, seeks to combine the utility of an MPV with the elegance of an SUV.
The N7X design has a tough-looking chin with a faux skid plate and brushed aluminum accents, giving it a butch SUV-like appearance. The updated Honda N7X design has a clamshell bonnet and a multi-slat chrome-laden grille flanked by slim wraparound headlamps.
As seen from the pictures, N7X has a clean profile that eliminates the BR-V's fussy lines and signature window kink, leaving only one crisp line from headlamp to tail lamp. The concept gets a dual-LED DRL configuration, with one on top of the headlamp and the other on the bumper, and a prominent Honda logo takes center stage.
According to sources abroad, it will be based on the latest-generation City and will share its engines too, so it will most likely be powered by the familiar 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol engine, coupled to either a manual or CVT continuously variable transmission. Despite the fact that the N7X concept seems to be ready for launch. The production version of this model is expected to be unveiled by Honda in the coming months.
According to sources, the BR-V will be replaced by this new variant in Indonesia. In India, Honda has already discontinued the slow-selling BR-V, and the company does not have a model in the 7-seat segment on the market which it now needs because of the recent unveiling of Hyundai's Creta-based 7-seat SUV the Alcazar. A production version of the N7X design may be a strong competitor for both India and Nepal, but Honda India has not provided any updates on this car.
