Renault Kwid

2020 Renault Kwid
is available in three variants, all of which are top-end, the Kwid RXT (O) is priced at Rs. 24.99 lakhs, the Kwid Climber RXT (O) at Rs. 25.99 lakhs, and the range-topping Kwid RXT (O) AMT at Rs. 26.49 lakhs. The new Kwid is longer than the outgoing model and gets a higher ground clearance of 184mm. It gets a refreshed face with its split headlamp setup with LED DRLs that keeps up with the latest trends while the new LED detailing on the tail lights is a premium touch. The Renault Kwid gets new and thoughtful features such as all 4 power windows, a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, part LED digital instrument cluster, sporty steering wheel, and ample boot space. The new Kwid also comes big on safety features with dual front airbags, ABS & EBD with Brake Assist, and a rear parking sensor with a reverse camera.
The Kwid is 3731mm long, 1579mm wide, 1474mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2422mm. A wider body normally results in a better shoulder room and a higher roof makes ingress & egress easier. A longer wheelbase usually results in more cabin space. It has a boot space of 279 liters. A larger boot allows you to carry more luggage. The new Kwid rides on 165/70 R14 tires size and has 28 liters fuel tank capacity. The new Renault Kwid is available with a more powerful, 1.0-liter, BS6 compliant engine that makes 67 BHP and 91 Nm of torque. The hatchback gets several active and passive safety features including Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (ABS with EBD), Driver airbag, and Driver & Co-Driver Seat belt reminder, speed alert, standard across all variants.
Datsun Redi-Go
The BS6 avatar of the Datsun Redi-Go is available in the Nepalese market at an introductory price of Rs 23.99 Lakh. The 2020 Datsun Redi-Go receives cosmetic updates that give it a bolder, fresher look. The tall-boy hatchback is only available in the top-spec 1.0-liter T (O) trim. The other variants of 0.8L variants- D, A, T & T(O), and the 1.0L (AMT) T(O) will be launched soon. The 2020 Datsun Redi-Go facelift gets serious cosmetic upgrades. Upfront, a deeper and bigger honeycomb grille takes center stage and also receives a chrome accent. Also new, are the ‘L’ shaped design of the LED DRLs with a fog lamp at the end of it. The bumper and headlamps also get revisions in design. Although the side profile remains the same, the rear gets new LED tail lamps.
On the inside, interiors have received an update in terms of features. The dashboard has been redesigned and looks a bit more upmarket. It also gets a new touchscreen infotainment screen, instrument cluster, and a new steering wheel. Even the knobs for air-con have been redesigned. Other upgrades include safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera, and sensors. The BS6 Datsun Redi-Go will only be available in a 1.0-liter engine option that produces 68 PS and 91 Nm of torque. The 1.0-liter engine is being offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. While the pre-facelift model offered 185 mm of ground clearance, the facelifted model gets 187 mm of ground clearance. Similarly, the new Redi-Go also offers class-leading rear knee room comfort and best-in-class approach and departure angle. It now gets 14-inch wheels and 165/70 R14 tires.
Hyundai Santro

is available in 5 variants in both the 2019 and the 2020 model. The 2019 model Santro starts at Rs. 22.96 lakhs and tops at Rs. 30.56 lakhs while the 2020 model Santro starts at Rs. 23.96 lakhs and tops out at Rs. 31.56 lakhs. In-Line with Hyundai’s tall boy design concept, the front of the new Santro is defined by Hyundai’s Signature Cascade Grille with chrome surround, uniquely positioned fog lamps, bold bonnet character lines with Hyundai logo, swept-back headlamps, and a micro antenna. From the sides, the sculpted body form is characterized by Z-shaped character lines and at the rear, the new Santro gets a dual-tone bumper with reflectors to accentuate a premium appeal.
Inside the cabin, the new Santro provides a higher seating position, superior all-around visibility, and superior headroom and shoulder room. The new Santro’s dual-tone beige and black interiors with champagne gold inserts are tailored to suit the customer needs. The propeller design based Front AC Vents, Rear AC Vents, and superior thigh support enhance the comfort of the passengers inside the car. In the Nepalese market, the new Hyundai Santro is available only in a single-engine configuration; a 1.1-liter four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 68 bhp of power and 99Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. There is also an optional AMT transmission on offer. Safety features include ABS with EBD (Standard), Dual Front Airbags, Impact sensing Auto Door Unlock, Speed-sensing Auto Door lock, Rear Parking Sensors, and Seat Belt Pretensioner with Load Limiter.
Suzuki Wagon R
The all-new Wagon R is available with two engine options and three variants and is priced at Rs 24,99,000 (1.0-litre VXi), Rs 26,99,000 (1.2-litre VXi Optional), and Rs 27,99,000 (1.2-litre ZXi Optional). The all-new Wagon R now comes with a tall-boy design, a wider stance, and spacious interiors with best-in-its class boot space. It is powered by the advanced K-series engine offering high fuel efficiency. The car also with a new 1.2 L engine option that delivers a powerful performance coupled with a great fuel economy.
On the inside, the new Wagon R offers a SmartPlay Studio infotainment experience, apart from playing music, this infotainment unit also lets you surf news, get the latest updates on weather and locate eateries around. On the safety front, the new Wagon R has been developed on the 5th Generation Heartect platform, which according to the company makes the car stable, strong, and safe. Suzuki Celerio
The Suzuki Celerio starts at Rs. 25,49,000 and tops out at Rs. 27,99,000.The Suzuki Celerio variants are as follows: VXi ( 25,49,000), ZXi (O) (27,99,000), and CelerioX ZXi (O) (29,29,000). The top-of-the-line ZXi (O) variants get a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, AUX, and iPod connectivity, steering-mounted controls for the infotainment system, manual air conditioner, height-adjustable seats, electronically-adjustable wing mirrors, and much more. On the safety front, you get dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed limit warning, reverse parking sensors, and front seatbelt warning on the top-spec trims.
The Suzuki Celerio comes powered with the company’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder K10B naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which churns out 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. It comes mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Tata Tiago
The Tata Tiago is a freshly developed product designed to appeal to the masses. It’s the company's entry-level model and is based on the updated XO platform. This little car has changed a lot for Tata in this particular segment, thanks to its cute appeal, well-built cabin, pliant suspension, and peppy engine. The Tata Tiago's price in Nepal starts at Rs. 24.99 lakhs and it comes in 4 variants. The base XE variant costs Rs. 24.99 lakhs, then there is the XM. XZ, and the XZ+ that comes in at 28.55 lakhs, 30.99 lakhs, and 31.99 lakhs respectively.
The Tiago is powered by an 85 bhp, 1.2-liter petrol engine. The Tiago features include a Harman infotainment system, that offers aux-in, follow-me-home headlamps, rear park assist with the display, multi-drive modes, steering-mounted audio and phone controls, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cooled glove box, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, USB and Bluetooth connectivity for telephone functions and audio streaming, the Juke Car app, rear parking sensors, a navigation app, height-adjustable driver's seat, and multi-information display. On the safety front, it comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and corner stability control.
Suzuki S-Presso
The Suzuki S-Presso comes in 4 variants, the baseline standard priced at Rs. 23.49 lakhs, the mid-tier LXi priced at Rs. 24.49, the high VXi priced at 25.49 lakhs, and the higher VXi+ priced at Rs. 25.99 lakhs. The Suzuki S-Presso looks sporty with features like twin-chamber headlamps; signature C-shaped tail lamps; body-colored bumpers, ORVMs, and outside door handles; and side body cladding. The BS6-compliant 1.0 engine makes 68 Bhp and 90 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Inside the S-Presso comes equipped with a multifunction steering wheel with audio and voice controls, a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital speedometer. The Suzuki S-Presso is based on the fifth-generation Heartect platform and gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, driver/co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist system, high-speed warning alert and reverse parking sensors.
