Triumph has unveiled the 2024 Daytona 660, a fresh addition to its lineup, featuring a new triple-powered middleweight sports bike.
The iconic Daytona design elements are evident in the twin LED headlights, central air intake, and streamlined bodywork that accentuates its athletic profile, culminating in a sculpted LED tail light.
Driven by Triumph's distinct 660cc triple engine, the Daytona 660 boasts 95PS at 11,250rpm and an adrenaline-pumping 12,650rpm redline. Over 80% of its peak torque, reaching 69Nm, is accessible from a low 3,125rpm, providing responsive and versatile performance. Outperforming the Trident, the Daytona 660 offers a 17% power increase and 9% more torque, complemented by a new exhaust system for a distinctive sports sound.
Effortless power transmission is ensured by the smooth six-speed gearbox, with Triumph's Torque Assist clutch ensuring a progressive and light lever feel. This clutch design enhances rear wheel control during hard deceleration, promoting smooth corner entry.
The Daytona 660 combines a well-balanced chassis and agile sports handling with all-day riding comfort. High-spec features include Showa upside-down 41mm forks, a Showa preload-adjustable monoshock RSU, and radial four-piston brakes with twin 310mm discs, accompanied by Michelin's Power 6 tires.
With an 810mm seat height, narrow stand-over, and optimized bar and footpeg positions, the Daytona 660 offers a confidence-inspiring riding experience.
To enhance rider control, the Daytona 660 incorporates rider-focused technology, including three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain) that optimize throttle response and traction control based on conditions. Additionally, a new Emergency Deceleration Warning system activates hazard lights during heavy braking, ensuring heightened awareness for other road users.
