Triumph Motorcycles has officially made its Nepal debut with the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X at the NADA Auto Show 2024. The Triumph Speed 400 is priced at Rs 6.39 Lakh and the Scrambler 400X is priced at Rs 6.89 Lakh in Nepal. Both prices are introductory.
Both models are equipped with a 398cc single-cylinder engine, producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. They feature a six-speed gearbox and a slip & assist clutch. Internationally, they offer a 16,000km service interval and a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.
The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X differ in design to cater to different riding styles. The Speed 400 has a 790mm seat height, weighs 170kg, and features 43mm upside-down front forks, a mono-shock rear suspension, and 17-inch wheels with roadster-specific geometry. It also boasts powerful four-piston radial front brakes.
In contrast, the Scrambler 400X, with a higher seat height of 835mm and a weight of 179kg, is designed for off-road use. It has a longer wheelbase, longer travel suspension, a 19-inch front wheel, and wider handlebars for enhanced stability on loose surfaces. It includes a larger 320mm front brake disc and high-grip foot pegs for a better off-road experience.
Both models come with advanced features such as Ride-by-wire throttle, Traction Control, ABS, a dual-format instrument panel, all-LED lighting, and security features including a steering lock and anti-theft immobiliser.
