TVS Apache RTR 165 RP Revealed In India; Limited To Only 200 Units

TVS Motor Company India has launched the Apache RTR 165 RP motorcycle under its Race Performance (RP) series at INR 1.45 Lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will be limited to only 200 units. The first TVS RP motorcycle gets some mechanical changes and a new sporty livery inspired by the brand's racing lineage.The Apache RTR 165 RP is the first product under the Race Performance series product portfolio. The motorcycle comes loaded with a race-tuned slipper clutch, adjustable brake and clutch lever, TVS Racing decals, brass-coated drive chain and sprocket, red alloy wheels, new dual-tone black and red seat pattern, and first-in-segment 240mm rear disc brake. The bike also features a new headlamp assembly where the signature Front Position lamp (FPL) functions simultaneously with low and high beam operations.The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP is powered by a 164.9cc single-cylinder 4 valve engine that delivers a maximum of 19.2 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed super-slick gearbox. The engine gets a new cylinder head with a 35 percent increase in intake and a twin electrode spark plug. TVSĀ  has also added 15 per cent bigger valves, a revised bore stroke ratio of 1.37 that allows free-revving up to the redline. There is also a new dome piston for a higher compression ratio. All these factors make the RTR 165 RP the most powerful motorcycle in its category.Commenting on the launch, Meghashyam Dighole, Head - (Marketing Premium Business), said, "We are delighted to introduce the Race Performance series to our customers.
