TVS is working on camera-based systems to detect whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not, as per
Autocar Professional.
Speaking at Autocar Professional's Road Safety Conclave, TVS’ President of New Product Development, Vinay Harne, revealed that the system is already under development on a number of different models, and will come out soon.The camera-based system will detect whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not. In case the rider is not wearing one, a message will flash up on the digital display of the bike/scooter to remind the rider to wear a helmet.Harne also mentioned that TVS is at the forefront of introducing other rider safety systems as well, including Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) functions in the mass-market segment.
