Ford Nepal (G.O Automobiles Pvt. Ltd) has announced the arrival of the 2022 Ford Ranger pickup truck in the Nepalese market. The 2022 Ford Ranger is available in two diesel engine configurations (2.0-litre single-turbo and bi-turbo) and three variants (XL, XLT and Wildtrak). The 2022 Ford Ranger is priced at an introductory Rs 1,05,90,000 for XL variant, Rs 1,19,90,000 for XLT variant and Rs 1,45,90,000 for Wildtrak variant.

Visually, the next-generation Ranger looks bold with a purposeful exterior that shares Ford’s global truck design DNA. The design features a defined new grille, and signature C-clamp headlight treatment at the front while a subtle shoulder line down the sides incorporates bolder wheel arches that give Ranger a sure-footed stance. For the first time, Ford Ranger offers matrix LED headlights.

Inside, the car-like cabin steps up, using premium soft-touch materials, and a prominent portrait-style centre touchscreen with Ford’s signature SYNC 4 connectivity and entertainment system. The connective experience is handled by a large 10.1-inch or 12-inch touchscreen in the centre stack.  With one button press, drivers can go to Ranger’s dedicated screen for all off-road and drive modes where they can monitor the driveline, steering angle, vehicle pitch and roll angles and other controls.

The new 2022 Ranger will also come with a choice of proven Single-Turbo and Bi-Turbo 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder diesels. The Single-Turbo comes in two different performance levels and delivers power, torque and fuel economy, 170PS power and 405 Nm torque in XL and 210PS power and 500 Nm torque in XLT and Wildtrak for off-road mastery. 

The 6-speed is the proven automatic transmission as seen in the current Ranger line-up. Similarly, the 10-speed automatic transmission in the XLT and Wildtrak variant has been upgraded. The 2022 Ford Ranger also offers four on-road and two off-road modes: Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul and Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand. These modes adjust everything from the gearshift, throttle response, traction and stability controls to ABS and more.
