Auto Expo 2023: Maruti Suzuki eVX Electric Concept Breaks Cover

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its first electric concept, eVX, at the Auto Expo 2023. The Maruti Suzuki eVX concept is the brand’s first electric concept and it will go on sale in 2025.

Based on a new dedicated EV platform jointly developed with Toyota, the eVX electric SUV concept is Maruti’s first global electric SUV. It will be powered by a 60 kWh battery pack offering up to 550 km of driving range on a single charge. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the eVX concept will measure 4,300mm long, 1,800mm wide and 1,600mm high, which is almost the same as the current-gen Creta.

“We plan to bring it to market by 2025. At the Suzuki Group, addressing global warming is a priority,” PTI cited Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Representative Director and President Toshihiro Suzuki as saying at the expo while unveiling the product.

Maruti Suzuki is displaying an array of 16 vehicles at this year’s expo, including the Grand Vitara, XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza, Wagon R Flex Fuel, Baleno, and Swift, among others. The company is also displaying its range of eco-friendly products such as WagonR Flex Fuel prototype, Brezza S-CNG and Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid.
