Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has inaugurated a state-of-art BYD Service Center at Guheshwori, Kathmandu. The workshop was inaugurated by Kulman Ghising, Managing Director – Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

This newly inaugurated service centre with highly trained professionals and modern equipment is a huge milestone for BYD in Nepal. Cimex says the service centre will offer an unmatched and unparalleled service experience like never before while strengthening BYD’s position in Nepal.  As part of the workshop, two units of 40 kW AC Fast Charger have already been installed at the facility in Guheshwori, Kathmandu.

Speaking during the occasion, Yamuna Shrestha, the Managing Director of Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., said, “We are moving aggressively ahead to promote Electric Mobility with BYD’s proven emissions-free technology in Nepal. We are convinced that with the introduction of the Workshop we will be able to provide uncompromised service to our clients. We will soon be inaugurating dealerships and service centres across the nation.”

“Service centres and workshops are essential prerequisites for the promotion of electric mobility. These infrastructures will provide confidence to existing customers and encourage the adoption of EVs by new ones. We hope BYD will expand its service and charging network across the nation.” added, Kulman Ghising.

The workshop is spread across an area of 27,000 sq. ft., with 6 service bays and expansion of up to 4 more in near future. Each bay is equipped with individual tool sets specialized for EVs. Along with the service centre, the workshop is also backed by a huge spare parts warehouse to deliver an unmatched servicing experience. The service station also has dedicated stations for dent paint services.
