The Citroen C3 is positioned as an SUV-inspired B-Segment hatchback. The C3 is based on the company’s C-Cubed platform, which will spawn several new India-made models. The new C3’s style is immediately apparent from Citroen’s distinctive shape, characterised by the high position of the bonnet and a front end structured to reinforce the impression of width.

“We are proud to present the New Citroen C3 to our customers in Nepal. The New C3 is made in India, and Stellantis is deeply committed to growing its presence in ASEAN through deeper localization with a focus on local manufacturing, producing in the region for the region. This is in line with our goal to ensure the accessibility of Citroën products,” said Nadia Kamarudin, Director of Customer Experience for ASEAN & General Distributors, Stellantis.

The large wheels, high ground clearance and short overhangs to cope with angles in the road surface and avoid damaging the front bumper, black wheel arches and bars roofs that increase the height of the vehicle, are all elements inspired by SUVs.The sides of the vehicle are muscular, set off by protective bubble panels sculpted into the bodywork to give the vehicle a more imposing presence. The  C3 will be available in four body colours – Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey and Steel Grey.

Under the hood, the Citroen C3 gets a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated, petrol unit that delivers 82 hp and 115 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. With a wheelbase of 2,540mm, the C3 promises to give one of the best legroom in this segment.

Citroen claims that the C3 has the best in the class head, shoulder, and elbow room for passengers. The C3 measures 3981mm x 1733mm x 1604mm with a ground clearance of 180mm. The boot capacity stands at 315 litres and the fuel tank capacity is 30 litres.

In terms of features, the Citroen C3 gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, manual A/C, a four-speaker sound system, steering-mounted controls, remote keyless entry, a digital instrument cluster, and front/rear USB charging ports. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminders etc.

The Citroen C3 is now available for a test drive and retail at all Citroen official showrooms across five major cities in Nepal including Birtamode, Itahari, Narayanghat, Butwal and Kathmandu. The company also offers customers a standard vehicle warranty for two years or 40,000km (whichever is earlier).

The Citroen C3 competes with the manual versions of the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
