The Venue is Hyundai’s newest small SUV made to go toe to toe against the Ford EcoSport and the Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Venue conveys a modern design in a compact package. For those who are constantly on-the-go, the Venue clearly differentiates itself as a Hyundai when you look up front.
The proportions and the silhouette of the car make it look like a shrunk down Creta but that’s where the similarities stop. On the front, you can see a huge grille, the front bold mesh pattern grille includes the new Hyundai signature face that reminds you of the new Hyundai Santa Fe and the Palisade SUV.
The new split headlight with slim LED strip that sits up top and the projector unit at the bottom is similar to the ones on the Hyundai Kona. The Venue’s side profile showcases a solid and full volume wheel arch and strong character line. The rear of the Venue is a mixed bag of strong proportions with an upright stance and funky design that look very appealing.
In-line with Hyundai’s promise of unmatched performance and innovation in mobility, the Venue will have several firsts to its credit. It will be the first Hyundai India Model to offer in-house developed 7-Speed and power packed advanced DCT technology in addition to the proven 6 MT and 5 MT transmissions. The Kappa 1.0 Ltr Turbo (T) GDI Petrol Engine will also debut with the Hyundai Venue along with the 1.2 L Kappa Petrol and 1.4 L Diesel Engine. The Kappa 1.0 Ltr T-GDI engine developed by Hyundai Motor Group’s R&D division is dubbed to be– a perfect combination of performance and fuel efficiency and will open a new era of next-generation engines.
Developed by Hyundai’s R&D Transmission team, the 7 Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) is said to be highly efficient and has the least torque transfer interruption while shifting gears. The transmission has been subjected to rigorous durability tests for ensuring High Gear Strength and better Clutch Friction Materials to offer the best performance at high speeds, off-road, hill-sides and harsh climatic conditions.
On the inside, the Venue looks well thought out and neatly designed. The Venue comes with a list of comfort and convenience features including Electric Sunroof, Wireless Phone Charging, Air Purifier, Cruise Control to name a few. It gets a high-set 8.0-inch touchscreen between a pair of air con vents, a string of shortcut keys below it. This system comes with Hyundai’s Blue Link Connectivity Technology which is a first from Hyundai in India. While we will explain this in detail once the Venue launches in Nepal, In brief, the system comprises 33 features that span safety, security, vehicle management, remote access, location-based services, alert services, and AI-based language inputs (more on this
