GAC Aion Y EV Launched In Nepal at Rs 54.99 Lakh

GAC Aion, the electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of GAC Group, has made its debut in the Nepalese market, further expanding its international presence. Distributed by CG Motors in the country, GAC Aion has launched the Aion Y electric crossover for Rs 54.99 Lakh.

As per the specs chart on the company’s local website, the Aion Y features a 61.54 kWh LFP battery to offer an impressive range of 405 kilometers (WLTP), paired with an electric motor producing a maximum power of 100 kW and a peak torque of 225 Nm, which allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds.

GAC’s electric vehicle offering, Aion Y, boasts cutting-edge magazine batteries developed in-house. These batteries feature a special layout that provides superior high-temperature and explosion resistance.

The Aion Y adopts wing-style headlights and through-type taillights for a sleek and dynamic look. Inside, the Aion Y features a minimalist interior with a spacious and modern design. It boasts a large 14.6-inch central multimedia screen, which provides an immersive and intuitive user experience, The cabin also boasts an ultra-large panoramic sunroof. The GAC Aion Y also comes loaded with several ADAS features.

Based on the brand’s AEP 2.0 pure electric platform, the GAC Aion Y  has a length of 4535mm, a width of 1870mm, and a height of 1650mm. It has a generous wheelbase of 2750mm and a ground clearance of 180mm.
