Honda City Hybrid Officially Launched In Nepal At Rs 82 Lakh

Syakar Trading Company, the sole authorised distributor of Honda cars and bikes in Nepal, has officially launched the all-new Honda City Hybrid (e: HEV) in the Nepalese market. The new Honda City Hybrid will be available in two variants – V and ZX at a price of Rs 82 Lakh and Rs 88 Lakh, respectively.

The City e: HEV’s hybrid electric system produces a system combined max power of 126 PS, fuel efficiency of 27.13 km/l and maximum motor torque of 253 Nm @ 0 – 3000 rpm. The new City hybrid features a hybrid system, called the i-MMD (intelligent multi-mode drive) e: HEV hybrid powertrain. This powertrain comprises a 1.5-liter petrol engine that makes 98hp of power and 127Nm of torque coupled to two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery.

The petrol engine comes paired with an electric motor that assists and acts as an integrated starter-generator (ISG). Meanwhile, a second electric motor, producing 109hp and 253Nm of torque, sends drive to the front wheels via a bespoke gearbox with a single, fixed-gear ratio.

The e:HEV electric-hybrid system uses three driving modes – EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive, along with Regeneration mode during deceleration. The Honda City e:HEV hybrid is around 110kg heavier than the regular model. The boot space is reduced by 90 litres to 410 litres. The sedan gets all-disc brakes as well as an electric parking brake.

The City Hybrid gets sportier-looking front and rear bumpers with new black accents on the grille, ORVMs, and bumpers. It also gets an all-black theme for the interior. The interior of the City hybrid packs a two-tone ivory and black interior colour theme and new connectivity features like Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an improved infotainment system,  remote control operation via a smartphone application, an improved Rear Camera, Wireless Charger, rain-sensing auto wiper, ambient lighting, etc.

In terms of safety & security, the new City hybrid will get six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, electronic stability control, rearview camera, rear parking sensors, traction control & ABS. One of the standout features is the advanced Honda Sensing suite, a comprehensive safety technology package that includes essential features such as lane-keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking. The sedan also integrates Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) along with adaptive cruise control.
