Powering the D-MAX EV will be a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will power dual motors and will provide an expected range of 450 kilometres. The dual-motor setup enables full-time 4WD and puts out a combined 174bhp and 329 Nm of torque, making it more powerful than the base-spec 1.9-liter diesel.

The Isuzu D-Max BEV showcases a revamped front end featuring a covered grille to enhance aerodynamics, complemented by blue accents. While the remainder of its dual-cab design is similar to that of the ICE-powered D-Max, notable updates include fresh six-spoke wheels and ‘EV Concept’ badges along the profile. Whether the production model will deviate from this prototype remains uncertain.
