Jeep Nepal adds Jeep Gladiator in its Wrangler Line-up

MAW Life, authorized distributor of Jeep in Nepal, has added the all-new Jeep Gladiator in its line-up of Jeep Wrangler. Jeep Gladiator is based on Jeep’s iconic Wrangler and boasts the same off-roading capability, a plethora of advanced technological features, and unmistakable Jeep design cues. The Gladiator starts at Rs 2.20 crores in the Nepalese market.

While MAW Life has been offering Wrangler 4 door in Rubicon and Sahara trim while 2 door in Rubicon trim in its CBU line-up, the Jeep Gladiator is available in Overland trim level in Nepal. This variant is equipped with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol delivering 206kW power and 327Nm torque. The Gladiator’s off-road capability is delivered through Jeep’s Selec-Trac Active On-Demand 4×4 system, offering a two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low range gear ratio and Dana 44 axles with a 3.73 rear axle ratio. The V6 engine has been optimized for low-end torque, which is essential for off-road use. It is capable of a max braked towing capacity of 2721kg.

Furthermore, the Jeep Gladiator can be easily transformed from a capable cargo carrier to a fully-customized lifestyle vehicle, that’s perfectly suited to weekend fun and everyday activities. Similar to the Wrangler, the “freedom” hardtop roof features quick release latches allowing for fast hardtop removal. Compared to Jeep Wrangler 4-door, the Jeep Gladiator’s frame is an additional 787mm longer, while the wheelbase is 492mm longer.

The Gladiator offers an approach angle of 40.7 degrees, a break angle of 18.4 degrees and a departure angle of 25.1 degrees.  Ground clearance is 283mm.

The Gladiator utilizes a comprehensive five-link suspension system to improve the on-road driving dynamics of the longer wheelbase and to support the new load-tray. Tray payload is 620kg and features under-rail bed lighting and integrated tie downs suitable for adventure equipment such bicycles, dirt bikes, surfboards and ATVs.

The all-new Jeep Gladiator features an array of active and passive safety and security features. The first of these are the full LED headlights and tail lamps that are standard across the Gladiator range. Additional standard features include ParkView rear camera with dynamic grid, front and rear Park Assist and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation.

The Gladiator is available in Black and Firecracker Red.
