The MG4 EV will start from Rs 47,99,000 in the Nepalese market. The upcoming MG4 electric hatchback will be available in two battery pack options (51 kWh and 64 kWh) at a price of Rs 47,99,000 and Rs 55,99,000, respectively.

In the Nepalese market, the MG4 EV will be offered in two battery packs: 51kWh and a bigger 64kWh; the former produces 170 PS (125 kW), while the latter produces 203 PS (150 kW). Both variants have a torque output of 250Nm and a single-motor, rear-wheel drive configuration.

According to MG, the smaller battery pack has a range of up to 350km, while the larger one has a range of 452km on the WLTP cycle. The MG4 EV can be charged with a 150kW DC charger.

Dimension-wise, the MG4 EV is more or less similar to the more familiar ZS EV SUV, but the MG4 EV comes in a more fun hatchback avatar. It measures 4287mm long, 1836mm wide and 1504mm high. It has a wheelbase of 2705mm and a boot capacity of 363 litres.

The design is sharp with some crossover design cues. While the exterior is sharply styled, the interior is rather minimalistic. The dashboard has sleek, horizontal lines, with two floating screens for the infotainment and the instrument cluster as the focal point. The centre console, which stands out with a rotary dial and wireless charging pad, is an intriguing addition here. The MG4 is equipped with a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and ADAS.

Globally unveiled in July 2022, the MG4 is a born-electric car, which is based on parent company SAIC’s modular scalable platform. The new model utilises MG’s new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) – a new battery architecture that will underpin the next generation of MG models.

Designed for a wide range of vehicles, the MSP can be used flexibly in models across different vehicle segments, from hatchbacks to SUVs and sports cars – suitable for wheelbases ranging from 2,650 to 3,100 mm. The manufacturer has also revealed its new integrated battery structure has a height of just 110mm, enhancing road holding and driver engagement even further.
