NIU Launches The UQIGT and MQIGT Electric Scooters In The Nepalese Market

Eco Infinity, the sole authorized distributor of NIU Electric scooters in Nepal, has launched the NIU UQIGT and NIU MQIGT electric scooters in the Nepalese market through Daraz, Nepal’s largest e-commerce platform. The NIU UQIGT is priced at Rs 2.55 Lakh while the MQIGT is available at Rs 4.35 Lakh.

Powering the NIU UQIGT is a powerful 48V lithium-ion battery that generates a power of 1500 Watt. The electric scooter gets a top speed of 45 km/h and an estimated range of 70-80 km. The battery has an average charging time of 7 hours. On the other hand, the MQIGT is powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery that generates a power of 3000 Watt. The MQIGT gets a top speed of 45-70 km/h and an estimated range of 80-130 km. The battery has an average time of 4 hours.

Features

The NIU UQI GT gets cruise control and three riding modes with speed capped at  25km/hr, 45km/hr and 70km/hr respectively. In terms of equipment and features, the electric scooter comes loaded with an LCD Dashboard, anti-theft protection, front and rear disc brakes with a combined braking system, and the NIU APP that lets you view 22 vehicle data points in real-time. The UQIGT also incorporates NIU’s 360° lighting system with automatic light-sensitive headlights, daytime lighting, 270 ° semi-enclosed taillights, and indicators that automatically turn off.

In terms of equipment, the MQIGT electric scooter gets front and rear dual disc brakes with regenerative braking, two riding modes, and the NIU APP that gives a real-time location of your scooter.

Design and Dimensions

At a glance, the NIU UQi GT is headlined by its urban-focused design. It gets a 740 mm wide handlebar, 14″ wheels, split-seats, and round LED headlamps with DRLs.In terms of dimensions, the UQIGT measures 1910mm long (including front and rear fenders), 740mm wide and 1128mm high. The electric scooter which sits on high-quality tubular steel comes with a wheelbase of 1300mm and a minimum ground clearance of 180mm. Similarly, seat height stands at 840mm. The UQIGT will be available in five colours – White, Red, Blue, Grey and Matte Black.

The MQIGT gets a load capacity of 269kg and a ground clearance of 180mm. The electric scooter sits on 14-inch front and rear wheels. The MQIGT will be available in five colours – Red, White, Grey, Blue and Black.
