Royal Enfield’s patron for the Nepalese division, Triveni Group, is a mega business conglomerate of 48 companies with a widespread presence across manufacturing, trading & distribution, banking & insurance, energy, retail, education, entertainment & hospitality, and agriculture sectors. The group took over  Royal Enfield’s operations in Nepal from MV Dugar Group in March 2022.

The Government of Nepal has taken a policy to encourage the vehicle assembly industry in Nepal. Currently, Bajaj and TVS companies are assembling their two-wheelers in Nepal. Similarly, Yamaha has also commenced the trial production of its motorcycles.

With the government in no urgency to lift the ban on motorcycles above 150cc anytime soon, the establishment of an assembly industry is a good strategic decision from Triveni Group to grow the business and cater to the increasing demand for Royal Enfield motorcycles in Nepal.
