The first spyshots of the upcoming single-cylinder motorcycle from the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration have surfaced online. The first product from the Indo-British partnership which is expected to debut later this year will feature a single-cylinder engine (350cc-500cc) and take on Royal Enfield, Jawa and Yezdi in the Indian market.

The spy images of the new bike hint at a Triumph-inspired styling with a circular LED headlamp like the Street Twin, a narrow tail section, a single upswept dual-barrel exhaust and bar-end mirrors. The bike also features upside-down forks and has a mono-shock at the rear. Also, there might be two variants on offer – a roadster with 17-inch wheels and a scrambler-styled model with 19/17-inch wheels.

However, this upcoming motorcycle will be branded as a Triumph. The motorcycle which will be sold in India as well as overseas markets will be manufactured at Bajaj’s plant near Pune.

Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto India in late 2020 had formally announced a long-term partnership that will see the two companies with their respective strengths in large and small capacity motorcycles collaborate to design, engineer, and manufacture a range of mid-capacity motorcycles.
