Iron Monk Nepal has announced the launch of the performance-oriented brand – Zontes Motorcycles. The Chinese bike-maker has introduced its ZT155-U1 adventure motard in the Nepalese market at a starting price of Rs 5.39 Lakh. The price of the bike depends on the type of wheel and goes up to Rs 5.99 Lakh for the cross-spoke tubeless wheel version.

A performance brand with a rapidly growing international presence, Zontes motorcycles is present in more than 100 countries. The Zontes lineup comprises performance motorcycles starting from the 125cc segment. However, with regards to the models being introduced, Kalash Tuladhar, founder of Iron Monk, commented that Zontes will initially focus on the small displacement adventure touring segment of Nepal starting with the launch of ZT155-U1, a 155cc adventure motard bike.

The ZT155-U1 adventure motard is both styled and specced to appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts with several first-in-segment features.  The bike features a Euro-V (BS-VI) compliant 155cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine producing segment-highest 19.03PS of power and class-leading 16Nm of torque. It gets a six-speed transmission unit with an assist and slipper clutch.

First-in-segment features:

Passive keyless entry (PKE) with anti-theft mechanism, radially mounted tubeless cross-spoke wheels (DOT rated rims inspired from premium adventure bikes), Superbikes grade 10,000 mAh (10Ah) battery, Air Temperature Sensor (ATS) assisted fuel-injection, Zinc-coated anti-rust galvanized fuel tank, Water-resistant backlit switchgear, Large 300mm disc brakes with dual channel ABS, Electronic fuel and seat release, Aluminum alloy based anti-vibration mirrors.

The bike is suspended by anti-dive USD front suspension and a mono-shock rear suspension.  It gets aluminum rear swing arm and aluminum alloy-based adjustable clutch and brake levers. The ground clearance is a generous 215mm. The features list includes an all-LED lighting set-up, Dual USB charging ports, and an LCD instrument panel which displays all the necessary information.
