The petrol range includes a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 136hp, a 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid assistance and 170hp, both these cars are front-wheel drive and a 2.0-litre petrol mild-hybrid with 204 ho and all-wheel drive. The two diesel engines include – a 2.0-litre engine with 150 hp, a 2.0-litre with mild-hybrid technology that churns out 211 hp and all-wheel-drive. Finally, there are the two plug-in hybrid models, the 245hp 25e and the 326hp 30e that utilise a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor to drive the rear wheels.

The BMW iX1 EV, on the other hand, gets two electric motors producing a combined 313hp and 493Nm. The ix1 which features a 64.7kWh battery pack provides a claimed range between 413km to 437km.
