Hyundai Motor India’s Venue compact SUV has crossed the 3 lakh sales mark in the Indian market. The company first introduced the model in India in 2019. The model accounted for a sale of 1.08 lakh units in 2021 itself.

Commenting on the success of Venue, Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai has been at the forefront of pioneering innovative and intelligent technology in the mobility space. In the Indian market, the Hyundai Venue is available with a choice between a 1.2-litre naturally petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. The 1.2-litre unit has 82 bhp with 115 Nm on offer and comes with a five-speed manual gearbox only. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre turbo makes 118 bhp with 172 Nm on offer. This powertrain can be available with a six-speed manual gearbox, a seven-speed DCT automatic unit, or iMT unit. Similarly, Hyundai Venue diesel, which delivers 99 bhp and 240 Nm comes with a six-speed manual gearbox.

With over 33 connected car features, Venue was an instant hit amongst customers, the automaker stated. The company said it has been the leading SUV maker in India in 2020 and 2021, with Venue playing a key role in achieving its success.
