2021 Jeep Compass Launched In Nepal; Price and Variant Details

MAW Life, the sole authorised distributor of Jeep in Nepal, has officially launched the 2021 Jeep Compass in the Nepalese market. The new Compass which was virtually launched by popular media personality Mr. Bhusan Dahal and celebrity Mr. Prashant Tamrakar was broadcasted live on the official Facebook and Instagram page of Jeep Nepal.  The 2021 Jeep Compass will be available in a total of 9 variants – three in petrol, and six in diesel. The New Compass starts from 84.90 Lakh and goes up to Rs 1 Crore 36.90 Lakh.

The new Jeep Compass gets a refreshed exterior, a redesigned dashboard, and enhanced comfort and convenience features. The facelifted Compass gets revised headlights with integrated LED DRLs, an updated seven-slat grille with honeycomb-like inserts, a new front bumper with a tweaked faux skid plate, a larger air dam with new fog light housings, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The SUV also gets new alloy wheels. Besides these changes, there will be no other major differences to the side and rear of the SUV.

The interior of the Compass gets the most significant upgrade. The new Compass gets a restyled dashboard with a new floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new three-spoke steering wheel, a large digital instrument cluster, and new AC vents and HVAC controls.

The new touchscreen will come with FCA’s UConnect 5 infotainment system and features Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto support. In terms of comfort and convenience, the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree parking camera, leather upholstery, powered tailgate, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

The Jeep Compass facelift continues to be powered by the same engine and transmission options from the outgoing model – a 2.0-liter diesel engine that delivers 173hp and 350Nm of torque and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 163hp and 250Nm of torque. Both engines come with a six-speed manual as standard, however, the Compass petrol and diesel will also get the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and a nine-speed automatic torque converter.  The diesel variant will also be available with a four-wheel-drive system with four driving modes.

The 2021 Jeep Compass will come equipped with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist (BA), terrain modes, hill assist (HA), and hill descent control (HDC) among others. The 2021 Compass will compete with the Kia Sportage, Tata H5, Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Tucson, and Skoda Karoq.
