Since it has to be implemented in a phased manner, NADA has requested the government to make arrangements for the same.  The context of not being able to prepare suitable infrastructure and skilled technical manpower could lead to a poor execution.

The challenges in Nepal lies in technological adoptions, pricing and infrastructures availability. In the current situation, the price of a commercial vehicle would increase by about 40 percent if Euro 6 or similar standards were set in the country. NADA claims that it will be difficult to streamline the servicing network if Euro 6 or equivalent standards are applied. NADA also said that local garage operators should be given adequate training and a timeframe of atleast two more years for the implementtion.
