When CG Motors (a subsidiary of Chaudhary Group – the multinational Nepalese business conglomerate), announced its entry into the Nepalese electric vehicle segment with the launch of the ‘Neta V’ subcompact electric crossover, it rode a wave of hype only to be smothered by the heightened expectations it created.

Subsequent to the launch of the Neta V,  the company received a lot of attention along with stark criticism regarding the pricing of the vehicle. However, the concerns regarding Neta V being priced much higher than in China were well-refuted by the official distributor company along with Hozon Auto, the car manufacturer, with strongly presented facts and figures.

Amidst the flurry of complaints and controversies, Neta V’s bookings crossed 100 units in just under a month. The Neta V subcompact electric crossover was launched in June at a price of Rs 37.99 Lakh.

Neta is an EV brand owned by Hozon Auto. Hozon Auto is a rapidly growing Chinese all-electric car marque. Talking about the features list, the Neta V comes loaded with HEPA N95 Grade Air Filter, Zero Button Dashboard, a 14.6-inch centre control touchscreen system, automatic headlights, and Vehicle-to-load (V2L) external discharge function, among many others.

The Neta V gets a battery pack of 38.5 kWh to deliver a power output of 70 kW and 160 Nm of torque. The subcompact electric crossover provides a range of 380 km on one full charge as per the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
