The Kiger is built on the same CMFA+ platform as the Triber and it is a result of a collaboration between the company’s design team in France and India. The Kiger is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission options are 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT and CVT transmission.

At a glance, the Kiger stands out with its sculpted bonnet, slender windscreen, and semi-floating roof with a roof rack. At the rear, the roof drop is topped by a spoiler, giving the vehicle a very airy look. At the rear, the Kiger gets a split C-shaped tail lamp. The vehicle also gets functional roof rails, 16-inch alloy wheels, black cladding on the sides, and 205-mm ground clearance.

Highlights of the Kiger include an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 7.0-inch digital instrument display, push-button start, keyless entry, ambient lighting, and auto climate control, etc. The Kiger also gets three drive modes. You can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport.

The Kiger will be available in six colour options with dual-tone colour options available on all trims, though the Radiant Red finish is exclusive to the top variant. Renault claims a largest in class 405-litre boot that can expand to 879 litres with the rear seats folded and 29 litres of space inside the cabin. It is also equipped with a  PM 2.5 air filter.

On the safety front, the Kiger gets up to four airbags. The higher variants of the Kiger also offer features such as ISOFIX seat mounting points, a traction control system, hill start assist, and vehicle dynamic control.
