As part of the Skoda’s Nepal 2.0 strategy, MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Skoda cars in Nepal, has launched the all-new Skoda Karoq and extended its SUV portfolio.

It will be available in two trims, Ambition and Ambition Plus which are both powered by a 2.0L, 6-speed automatic transmission, turbo-charged diesel engine which produces a maximum power of 141BHP and torque of 320 NM. The Ambition is available at Rs 1,15,00,000 and Ambition Plus has a cost price of Rs 1,25,00,000.

According to the press release from the company, the new Skoda Karoq is a completely new compact SUV from the long-standing Czech brand. The all-new Karoq measures 4,382 mm in length, is 1,841 mm wide, and 1,624 mm high. The wheelbase of 2,638 mm gives the Skoda Karoq increases the space inside and also carves out a boot space of 521 liters, which extends to 1,630 liters with the rear seats, capable of a 60:40 split, folded down.

The fascia of the new Karoq is dominated by distinctive chrome surround on the Skoda signature radiator grille, characteristic LED headlamps with AFS (adaptive front light system) with automatic headlight levelling, fog lamps with cornering function, and headlamps which respond to speed changes as well as to various light and weather conditions. The Skoda Karoq is also equipped with an electrically adjustable panoramic sunroof with bounce back system that enhances the feeling of space.

The state of the art 20.32 cm floating capacitive touch display, with proximity sensor, features a glass design. The new Karoq is equipped with SmartLink™ technology that mirrors a smartphone for seamless connectivity and undistracted drive; besides supporting voice command control, SD card reader, USB ports, and Bluetooth® GSM telephony and audio streaming options.

The intelligent Two Zone Climatronic air conditioning system, with Air Care function, enables different temperatures to be set for the front and rear passengers. It is also fitted with a humidity sensor, which reduces windscreen misting, and a sun sensor. The Boarding spot lamps, designated to illuminate the entry area, are located on the external side view mirrors. Furthermore, the Skoda Karoq also comes equipped with cruise control and automatic rain sensing wipers.
