Honda 2-wheelers India has launched its third offering in the 160cc segment, the new SP160. Positioned between the Unicorn and the X-Blade, the new SP shares a lot of similar design elements with the smaller SP125.

The Honda SP160 shares its powertrain with the Unicorn and the X-Blade. The 162cc 4-stroke engine produces the same 13.67 bhp of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. Although the X-Blade uses the same motor, the engine has been tuned for a little more power and torque. The power figures of the SP160 make it comparable to the likes of the Pulsar P150, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ.

The SP160 sits on the same diamond-type frame platform as the Unicorn. However, it gets 17-inch wheels compared to the Unicorn’s 18-inch. The SP160 gets a tyre size of 80/100-17 at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear. Similarly,  the suspension set-up comprises telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

The Honda SP160 borrows its design language from the SP125 but the proportions are scaled-up. It gets a large LED headlight, an enlarged fuel tank, a new LCD digital instrument cluster, and sharper lines all across. The LCD digital cluster provides various information such as speedometer, rev counter, gear position, mileage, etc. But, it misses out on Bluetooth connectivity.

The all-new Honda SP160 is priced between INR 1,17,500 – INR 1,21,900 in India.
