Laxmi Hyundai, the sole authorized distributor of Hyundai Motors for Nepal, is gearing up to bring the Palisade to Nepal. Hyundai Nepal has already revealed variants, powertrain, and pricing details, and here is everything else you need to know about the Palisade. The Hyundai Palisade will be available in two variants – GL and GLX. The Palisade GL is priced at Rs 1,94,96,000 while the Palisade GLX is available at Rs 2,25,96,000.

Hyundai Palisade’s exterior and interior design clearly reflect its unique flagship identity with a premium, distinctive and bold road presence. The Palisade flagship SUV brings exceptional comfort, technology, and safety, and offers seating for up to seven/eight passengers with commodious cargo space, says Hyundai. The Palisade measures 4,980mm long, 1,975mm wide, and 1,750mm high. Similarly, it has a wheelbase of 2,900mm.

Palisade is loaded with remarkable smart features like the power tailgate that not only opens automatically but also allows you to adjust the opening/closing speed and lift height to suit personal preferences. And should you ever accidentally leave a child or pet behind after parking, the rear passenger alert system will automatically issue a gentle reminder.

Beyond the cabin’s clean, ultra-modern lines, there’s clean air technology that not only filters away dust and pollen but also deodorizes the air with an ionizer. Double-laminated glass ensures whisper-quiet travel while the 10.25″ touchscreen comes with split-screen and 360-degree surround-view monitor capabilities to ensure effortless control.

The cabin space can be easily configured in a variety of different ways to tackle the demands of the moment. And with the third row folded, Palisade offers a generous 1,297-liters of cargo space. For added convenience, the second-row seats include a smart one-touch walk-in button that instantly readjusts the second-row seat position for easier third-row entry/egress. Rear seat passengers will also appreciate the dual-wide sunroof that brightens up the interior.

The cabin of the Hyundai Palisade also offers three-zone, independent-control, fully automatic air conditioning. Palisade features independent heating and cooling systems for the second-row seats, a dual fully automatic air conditioning system for the front seats, and adjustable overhead vents that work in tandem with floor vents to help ensure maximum comfort throughout the entire cabin.

Powering the Palisade in the Nepalese market will be a 2.2-liter diesel engine that will come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that makes 190 bhp and 441 Nm of torque. The Palisade is also an efficient off-roader thanks to the innovative H-TRAC 4-wheel-drive system and Multi-Terrain Control that allows you to choose between Snow, Mud, and Sand modes to assure optimal tire traction over different types of rough terrain.

The Palisade also gets drive modes. Turn the knob to select the mode that suits you best. You get Comfort mode for everyday driving, Eco mode for optimal fuel efficiency, and Sport for quicker acceleration, or a Smart mode which employs a learning algorithm that automatically adjusts gear shift intervals based on recent driving patterns.

The Hyundai Palisade is also big on safety. You get features like 6 airbags, Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), and Head-Up Display (HUD), etc. The Palisade also comes with advancements in Hyundai SmartSense, an Advanced Driver Assistance System. Under Hyundai SmartSense you get Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA),  Safe Exit Assist, and Surround View Monitor (SVM).

The Palisade will compete with  Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero, and Ford Endeavour in Nepal.
