IME Electric, the sole authorised distributor of Raft electric Scooters in Nepal, has added a new dealer in Maharajgunj – Garima Auto Concern. The dealer was jointly inaugurated by the Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, as well as by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of IME Group and Senior Vice-President of FNCCI.

Speaking to media persons at the launch, Kumlan Ghishing, said “Electric vehicles are getting more and more popular in Nepal. Nepal imports billions of fuel from neighboring countries, hence, the use of electric vehicles will help in reducing fuel imports and promote the use of locally produced electricity. As per the company, Raft electric scooter can run approximately 800 km for the cost of a liter of petrol saving up to Rs. 250,000 within 3 years recovering almost the full cost of the scooter.
