Neta Auto Enters Indonesia With Three EVs

One year after being introduced overseas, Neta is now officially introduced in Indonesia through the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 exhibition. This is Neta’s first appearance in Indonesia after entering ASEAN countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Brunei.

At this GIIAS exhibition, Neta introduced three products at once, the Neta S sports coupe, Neta U SUV, and Neta V crossover. At the launch event, Neta announced a plan to start selling products in Indonesia in the fourth quarter of the year.

In addition to selling its EVs in Indonesia, Neta also plans to manufacture its vehicles in the country., the automaker will also focus on localized development. The Chinese automaker will work together with a local partner to achieve localized assembly production of Neta products from the second quarter of 2024.

As an automotive brand that was first introduced to China’s mass market back in June 2018 and launched its first mass-production model in November 2018, now Neta is an automotive brand that offers electric vehicles around the world. It has now entered various overseas markets in Southeast Asia including Nepal, the Middle East and North Africa region as well as Central and South America.

On March 10 this year, Neta laid the foundation stone for its plant in Bangkok, Thailand, which will be its main manufacturing base for building right-hand drive EVs for export to ASEAN. Upon completion, the plant will have an annual capacity of 20,000 units and is expected to start production by the end of January 2024.

Distributed by CG Motors in the Nepalese market, the Chinese automaker currently offers the Neta V sub-compact electric crossover at a price of Rs 38.99 Lakh. The Neta V built on the Pure EV platform can cover a distance of 380 km on a full charge as per the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Priced at Rs 38.99 Lakh, the Neta V gets a battery pack of 38.5 kWh to deliver a power output of 70 kW and 160 Nm of torque. The Neta V has a ground clearance of 170mm.

Talking about the features list, the Neta V comes loaded with HEPA N95 Grade Air Filter, Zero Button Dashboard, a 14.6-inch centre control touchscreen system, automatic headlights, and Vehicle-to-load (V2L) external discharge function, among many others.
