Seres 3 Electric SUV To Launch This NADA Auto Show 2023

Seres, a Chinese electric vehicle brand, is making its debut in Nepal with the Seres 3 electric subcompact SUV  at the upcoming NADA Auto Show. MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, under MAW Group, is the sole authorised distributor of ‘Seres’ electric vehicles in Nepal. The group announced a strategic partnership with Seres Group back in February this year to launch Seres EVs.

Seres is a brand of electric vehicle marketed by Seres Group. Seres Group is one of the largest EV manufacturers in China and has been exporting to over 70 countries globally. It is famous for its popular DFSK and SERES brands. One of the most noteworthy aspects of Seres’ journey is its strategic partnership with Huawei, a global leader in telecommunications and technology solutions. This collaboration has enabled the brand to leverage Huawei’s expertise in connectivity, smart technology, and digital solutions to create a seamless and intelligent driving experience for its customers.

Seres offers the Seres 3 electric subcompact SUV and Seres 5 sporty premium electric SUV in the international market. However, the brand will introduce the Seres 3 only in the Nepalese market in the initial phase.

The Seres 3 is an electric subcompact SUV powered by a 52.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and paired with a 99 kW electric motor. The Seres 3 claims an electric range of 405 kilometres on a full charge (NEDC). The Seres 3 has a ground clearance of 190mm. The Seres 3 shares a similar design to DFSK Glory 500 and will rival the MG ZS EV.

In terms of features, it comes loaded with a 10.25-inch multimedia system, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, three drive modes, electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof, among others. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, lane-departure warning alarm, electric-brake force distribution, hill-descent control, hill ascend control, auto-hold, etc.
