Skoda Nepal is celebrating the first anniversary of its Kushaq compact SUV in Nepal. Ever since its launch in the Nepalese market, the Skoda Kushaq has been able to garner an excellent response as a comfortable, feature-rich car. The reception of the Kushaq was such that the company was able to deliver 75 units of the compact SUV on the day of its launch.

After the launch of Kushaq, Skoda Nepal recorded a Year-over-year (YoY) growth of 560 percent. With over 400 unit sales in the first year, Skoda Kushaq is currently enjoying an 18% market share in its segment.

The Skoda Kushaq starts from Rs 49.90 Lakh and goes up to Rs 71.90 Lakh in the Nepalese market. The Kushaq is available in 3 trims; Active, Ambition and Style, and 6 variants – Active MT, Ambition MT, Style MT, Ambition AT, Style AT, and Style Plus AT.  In the Nepalese market, the Skoda Kushaq is offered in a 1.0-liter petrol engine option only. The 115hp 1.0-litre TSI engine that delivers a maximum torque of 178 Nm is available with a 6-speed manual or torque converter auto gearbox.

The Skoda Kushaq has a length of 4,225mm, a width of 1,760mm, and a height of 1,612mm. Furthermore, the SUV has a 188mm ground clearance and a 2,651mm wheelbase. The Kushaq’s boot room is 385 liters, but it can be expanded to 1,405 liters by folding the seats. Candy White, Honey Orange, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel, and Tornado Red are the five color choices available.
