Suzuki Jimny and Fronx Will Be Available From August 7 Across All Showrooms

CG | Motocorp, the sole authorised distributor of Suzuki cars in Nepal, will unveil the Jimny 5-door and Fronx on 7th August across all showrooms in Nepal. The Fronx is priced from Rs 39.99 Lakh onwards while the Jimny starts at Rs 59.99 Lakh.

The Fronx is available in three variants – Sigma (Rs 39,99,000), Delta (Rs 41,99,000) and Delta+ (Rs 42,99,000). In the Nepalese market, the Fronx is available in a 1.2-litre K-series (89hp and 113 Nm) naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.  The Fronx offers best-in-class fuel efficiency of up to 22.89* km/l, per the company.

The Fronx is 3,995mm long, 1,550mm high, and 1,765mm wide, and has a generous ground clearance of 190mm. In terms of features, the Fronx gets Head-Up Display with Turn-by-turn navigation, 360 view camera, wireless smartphone charger, 22.86cm (9”) HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, among others. The Suzuki Fronx is equipped with advanced safety features including 6 airbags, 3-point ELR seatbelts, ESP with Hill-Hold Assist & Roll Over Mitigation, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, etc.

The Suzuki Jimny is available in two variants – Zeta (Rs 59,99,000) and Alpha (Rs 64,49,000), in manual trim only. Apart from a longer wheelbase, two more doors, and a revised rear section, the Jimny 5-door resembles the global 3-door model. The trademark Jimny design elements, such as upright pillars, clean surfacing, round headlamps, slatted grille, chinky off-road tyres, and flared wheel arches, are also present on the India-spec variant.

The 5-door Jimny gets Maruti Suzuki’s K15B petrol engine, which is coupled to either a 4-speed torque converter automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine delivers 105hp and 134Nm of peak torque. It also receives Maruti’s mild-hybrid technology. Similarly, the Jimny will offer a range of 16.94kmpl for the manual transmission model and 16.39kmpl for the automatic transmission model. The automatic model will be available in a later phase.

The Jimny 5-door sports Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system with a manual transfer case and low-range transmission with ‘2WD-high,’ ‘4WD-high,’ and ‘4WD-low’ modes. It boasts a sturdy ladder-frame chassis, a 3-link rigid axle suspension, and an electronic traction control system that automatically brakes slipping wheels and redistributes force to other wheels. The Jimny 5-door features a 36-degree approach angle, a 24-degree break-over angle, a 50-degree departure angle, and a 210mm ground clearance.

In terms of features, the Jimny 5-door gets Maruti’s SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Arkamys sound system. Safety features include 6 airbags, ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear-view camera and ABS with EBD.
