The Mada 9 which is still in its prototype stage gets a modified Toyota’s 1.8-litre DOHC 16-Valve VVT-i, 4-cylinder petrol engine that was introduced in 2004. As per Afghanistan’s TOLO News, the petrol engine in the prototype model could be replaced by an electric powertrain by the time it enters production.

Speaking of the design, the Mada 9 appears sleek and bold with a low-slung design. The front fascia is flanked by sleek LED headlamps.  It also gets large multi-spoke all-black alloy wheels. The supercar gets a sculpted side profile with wide air intake before merging into the bold-looking rear diffuser. The prototype used pushrod suspension and its engine is rear-mounted, cradled safely between the tube chassis crowded by lightweight composite materials.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the unveiling of the supercar was a matter of ‘honour’ for Afghanistan and the regime is committed to providing religion and modern science for its people.
