The exterior of the Curvv is characterized by a raised ride height, tough cladding and dynamic proportions. The slim upper DRL, triangular headlamp and the signature surround rear LED lamps lend the Curvv concept a unique look.  This, along with the large offset of the front and rear fenders, and strong mid-section set up a solid and balanced stance.

There is a strong aerodynamic theme running through the SUV. The floating bonnet along with the floating C-pillar continues the aerodynamic theme, with airflow across the body side and underneath the pillar, exiting at the side of the rear screen. The wheels also have aero blade inserts to close up the open area and allow better airflow across the surfaces, and diamond-tuned finished surfaces give high graphical contrast.

The interior will be rather minimalistic in approach. The dashboard gets two free-standing touchscreen infotainment units – one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster. It also gets a new two-spoke steering wheel design. There’s even a large panoramic glass roof that integrates the rear spoiler with the roofline.

The Curvv will be available with various powertrain options. Initially, the Curvv EV will be introduced for sale with a certified range of 400-500km range. Tata will also launch the Curvv with an internal combustion engine (ICE) version later. The diesel-engine Curvv will be powered by the Nexon’s 1.5-litre diesel engine. Subsequently, the Curvv will introduce its petrol engine option, featuring a 125hp, 225Nm, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine.

Tata Curvv EV series production will commence around April this year.
