This is the third season of United We Play, after two successful editions in India, which saw more than 13,000 players participating, to win a chance to travel to Old Trafford, home of Manchester United. The Nepal edition saw 435 participants showcasing their skills; Rohit Shrestha emerged as the winner from this region.

The third season was launched late last year at an event with Manchester United first-team players David De Gea, Anthony Elanga and Donny Van De Beek, where they spoke about the importance of grassroots development and initiatives like United We Play that encourage young footballers to participate in sports.

The winner of the Nepal leg will be given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Old Trafford to participate in exciting activities like a matchday experience, training sessions with Manchester United Soccer School coaches, and interactions with Manchester United Legends.

Commenting on the event, and the talent, Mr. Rajesh Dash, Country Head, Nepal, Apollo Tyres, said “It was a first of its kind of event initiated by Apollo Tyres and Manchester United in Nepal for the grassroots football development, engaging the youth. My compliments to all the participants for their bright future.”

The theme for this edition of United We Play as envisioned by Apollo Tyres and Manchester United is to enable access to global standards in player development by engaging the youth via sport and helping them perform at their best.
