BYD Sells Over 1 Lakh EVs Globally In April

BYD has released its sales volume report for April. The China-based EV maker sold 104,346 EVs globally, which is 82% up compared to the same month last year. April was also the third-best month in BYD history regarding EV sales.
BYD also sold 105,103 PHEVs, so in total, BYD sold 209,464 passenger vehicles in April, which is 98% up YoY. EVs and PHEVs are called NEVs in China (New Energy Vehicles). The Chinese automaker also revealed that it exported 14,827 NEVs. According to CarNewsChina, BYD mainly exported the Atto 3 electric SUV.
The best-selling series was the Dynasty which sold 115,550 vehicles, followed by the Ocean series which sold 83,388 vehicles. Earlier in March 2023, the BYD Atto 3 became the second-best-selling electric SUV in China.
In the Nepalese market, BYD offers the Atto 3, second-gen e6 and M3 van. Equipped with the ultra-safe Blade Battery and the born EV platform (e-Platform 3.0), the BYD Atto 3 provides a range of 420 km according to WLTP tests with a higher battery capacity of 60.48kWh. The Atto 3 comes loaded with 7 airbags, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.8-inch (32.5cm) adaptive rotating Screen, 360-degree holographic transparent imaging system, an NFC card key, and a Vehicle to Load (V2L) functionality.
