Mr. Liu Xueliang, the esteemed General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, visited Nepal from May 4th to May 6th, 2024, marking a crucial moment in BYD’s dedication to the Nepalese market.

Accompanied by a distinguished delegation comprising Ms. Gillian Li, Passenger Vehicle Office Director; Mr. Javy Wang, Product Manager; Ms. Kaisy Ke, Legal Manager; and Mr. Ketsu Zhang, Deputy General Manager, the visit involved a series of strategic interactions aimed at strengthening BYD’s presence and fostering collaborative growth in Nepal’s automotive sector.

The itinerary commenced with Mr. Liu Xueliang and the BYD team visiting the BYD Showroom in Naxal, Kathmandu, and Pulchowk, Lalitpur on May 5th, 2024. During this visit, Mr. Liu delivered 14 vehicles, including the BYD Atto 3 and BYD Dolphin models. Subsequently, the delegation visited the BYD Service Center in Guheshwori, Kathmandu, reaffirming BYD’s commitment to ensuring excellent after-sales service and support infrastructure in Nepal.

A highlight of the visit was the “BYD APAC Nepal Strategy Summit: Accelerating Growth Together,” organized by Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., BYD’s authorized distributor in Nepal. Held on May 5th, 2024, in Kathmandu, this summit provided a collaborative platform for stakeholders to review BYD’s journey in Nepal and outline future endeavours. Mr. Liu Xueliang offered valuable insights into BYD’s vehicle lineup and reiterated the company’s dedication to technological innovation and customer-centricity.

Moreover, Mr. Liu praised Nepal’s significant achievement of over 60% EV penetration in 2022 and 2023, showcasing the nation’s progressive approach to sustainable mobility.

In acknowledgement of BYD’s achievements and the contributions of its partners and employees, Cimex Inc. hosted the “BYD Gala Night” on May 5th, 2024, at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel. The event served as a platform to celebrate milestones and recognize individuals who have played pivotal roles in BYD’s success story in Nepal.

The visit concluded with a high-level meeting between Mr. Liu Xueliang, key executives from BYD, and prominent figures including the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Mr. Anil Shrestha, Chairman of Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd.
