Electric Vehicle Brand Seres To Debut In Nepal Soon

MAW Group, the second largest automobile conglomerate in Nepal, is readying the launch of ‘Seres’ electric vehicles in Nepal. MAW Group announced a strategic partnership with Seres Group back in February this year to launch Seres EVs.

Seres is a brand of electric vehicle marketed by Seres Group. Seres Group is one of the largest EV manufacturers in China and has been exporting to over 70 countries globally. Founded in 1986, Seres Group is a technology-based manufacturing enterprise with new energy vehicles as its core business. Seres Group is famous for its popular DFSK and SERES brands.

Seres’ electric vehicles will be available from September through MAW’s distribution network. Seres currently offers the Seres 3 electric subcompact SUV and Seres 5 sporty premium electric SUV in the international market.

Seres 3: The Seres 3 is an electric subcompact SUV powered by a 53.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with fast charging capability to generate a maximum of 163 hp of power and torque of 300 Nm. The Seres 3 claims an electric range of 405 kilometers on a full charge.

In terms of features, it comes loaded with a 10.25-inch multimedia system, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, three drive modes, electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof, among others. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, lane-departure warning alarm, electric-brake force distribution, hill-descent control, hill ascend control, auto-hold, etc.

Seres SF5: The Seres SF5, on the other hand, is a sporty premium electric SUV developed in cooperation with Huawei. Powered by an 80 kWh LFP battery as standard, the Seres 5 provides an NEDC range of 500 kilometres for the standard 2WD version. It features two electric motors with a total output of 585hp and 1040 Nm torque. The car does 0-100km/h in less than 3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

The Seres 5 supports vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) output as well.
