In the context of the current situation, Chairman Thapa pointed out that despite the decrease in demand for vehicles due to the challenging economic situation, vehicle entrepreneurs have continued to gradually clear and import approximately 1600 vehicles and equipment for customs inspection within the last six months. He highlighted the complexities of the current situation and urged that considering the substantial parking fees that businesses have to pay, it is essential to provide an extension of the deadline for inspection and clearance of vehicles and equipment at customs.

In the same discussion, NADA Vice-Chairman Rajan Babu Shrestha suggested that if sales are not possible, arrangements should be made for the re-export of these vehicles and equipment, following the provisions of economic laws. He stressed the need to simplify the existing legal provisions to facilitate the export of vehicles and equipment.

Furthermore, in the course of the discussion, NADA Secretary Surendra Kumar Upreti requested measures to provide concessions to all types of exporters in Nepal when exporting goods, including vehicles manufactured in Nepal, to maintain the quality standard of Nepal. Additionally, NADA Secretary Vikram Singhania also requested similar arrangements for the export of tires produced in Nepal.
