Ever since its launch in the Indian market, the Kia Seltos has been a blockbuster product for Kia Motors helping the Korean manufacturer establish a strong presence in the market. Now, as per reports, Kia is looking to upgrade the Seltos with additional features, preferably a panoramic sunroof.

While the Kia Seltos’ feature list has been very comprehensive since its start, a much-desired feature – a panoramic sunroof – has been lacking on the SUV. It is speculated that Seltos’ single electric sunroof will be replaced by a bigger panoramic sunroof like the all-new Hyundai Creta. Interestingly, the Seltos sold in China have had a panoramic sunroof for over a year, and the Seltos manufactured in India may soon have this feature as well. Almost all of its existing rivals, including the MG Hector and Tata Harrier, include a panoramic sunroof.

The SUV received its first set of updates a year ago, with a few cosmetic and feature updates to its lineup. This is the second feature update for the Seltos, which has been on the market since August 2019. There will be no mechanical updates for the 2021 Seltos, which means the SUV will continue to be sold in India with a 1.5-litre 115hp diesel engine,  a 1.4-litre 140hp turbo-petrol unit, and a 1.5-litre 115hp naturally-aspirated petrol engine.

We also anticipate that the Seltos will be the first product to receive the new Kia logo in India in 2021. Kia unveiled their new logo earlier this year, which will appear on future models throughout the company’s lineup. This logo has yet to enter Indian models, and Seltos will be the first to see it. As part of this transformation, the company has introduced a new brand strategy as well as a new brand slogan that says “Movement that inspires”.
