Pathao Expands Bike Ride Service to 17 Additional Cities Nationwide

Popular ride-sharing company Pathao has announced to expand its ‘Bike Ride’ service to an additional 17 cities across the country.

According to Pathao’s Managing Director, Asheem Man Singh Basnyat, Pathao will now make its services available in additional cities beyond Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan, per the company’s policy of expanding services nationwide.

Basnyat stated that the ride-sharing service of Pathao will now be available in nine cities of Koshi Pradesh including Biratnagar, Damak, Urlabari, Biratchowk, Itahari, Inaruwa, Dharan, Biratmod, and Bhadrapur. The company has also announced about the availability of services in Birgunj and Janakpur of Province 2.

Additionally, services are expanding to Hetauda of Bagmati Pradesh, Pokhara of Gandaki Pradesh, Butwal of Lumbini Pradesh, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, and Dhangadhi of Sudurpaschim Pradesh. There are plans to further expand services to other cities in the future.

“Those interested in becoming riders can apply for registration, including submission of necessary documents such as a renewed license, vehicle registration, and insurance papers. After completing the paperwork, they will also receive online training,” said Basnyat, adding, “Those interested can contact Pathao’s social media or call 01-5970099 for registration. Prospective riders will also need to download the ‘Pathao Drive’ app from the Play Store.”

Currently, more than two million individuals are registered for various services of Pathao. There are over one hundred thousand registered bike riders, more than ten thousand captains (taxi drivers), and over five thousand registrations for food delivery. Pathao has also introduced Pathao Food, Market, and Parcel services alongside ride-sharing.

Pathao has arranged insurance coverage ranging from one to ten lakh rupees for accidents, disability, or death, and up to one lakh rupees for treatment, making it the first and largest ride-sharing insurance provider in Nepal.

The company provides 24-hour customer care service, focusing on customer satisfaction. Customers can register their complaints, grievances, and suggestions at any time.

Both Android and iPhone users can download the Pathao app on their mobile phones to access various services. According to the company, the app has been downloaded more than five million times so far.
