The Grand Vitara nameplate is back, albeit in a slightly different avatar. The Grand Vitara is the first mid-size SUV from Maruti Suzuki which has been developed jointly with Toyota. The fifth-gen Grand Vitara gets a bold stance and muscular body lines compared to its Toyota cousin. The SUV gets a new hexagonal grille with curvy edges, tri-LED DRLs, and a muscular bonnet to enhance its visual appeal. The side profile is characterised by a floating roof, blackened pillars, and a new alloy design.

At the rear, the SUV gets a unique tail lamp cluster with three-element horizontal LED lines on either side with connected LED tail lamp technology. The Grand Vitara measures 4345 mm in length, 1645 mm in width, and 1795 mm in height. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2600 mm.

In terms of features, the new Grand Vitara will come loaded with a host of amenities, such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, ambient lighting, driver and co-driver ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, and many more.

The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be available with two engine options: a 101 hp, 137 Nm, 1.5L petrol with mild hybrid technology and a 92 hp, 122 Nm, 1.5L TNGA Atkinson cycle petrol with strong hybrid technology, both sourced from Toyota. The latter comes paired with an electric motor that produces 79 hp and 141 Nm of torque resulting in a total power output of 115 hp. The available transmissions include a 6-speed torque converter and a 5-speed manual. Maruti claims a mileage of 27.97 km/l on the Strong Hybrid variant.

Suzuki’s AllGrip AWD tech will also be available for the mild hybrid vehicle. The AllGrip Select offers the driver four modes to choose from – Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock – and the system is controlled electronically via a push-and-turn dial on the dashboard.

In terms of safety, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara comes with Dual Airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, Anti-Lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution(EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, 3-point ELR seat belts (All seats), and rear disc brakes standard across all variants. The Grand Vitara also gets 6 airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Hill Descent Control.

Suzuki Brezza Facelift:

The new Brezza gets a revised exterior and a completely revamped interior with several first-in-segment features. At the front, the all-new Brezza gets a new thick single-slat chrome grill, squarish dual-LED headlamp setup, fog lamps and a dual-tone bumper. The side profile is flanked by new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, black-coloured body cladding, and ORVMs. At the rear, the compact SUV gets a redesigned dual-tone bumper, wrap-around LED taillamps, Brezza lettering at the centre, and a rear washer and wiper. The Brezza is now offered in nine colour options, including three dual-tone shades.

The Brezza comes powered by Maruti’s new 1.5-litre, K15C petrol engine combined with mild-hybrid tech. The engine is tuned to produce 103 hp and 137 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The old 4-speed torque converter unit has been replaced by a new 6-speed unit. Moreover, the new Brezza is the only SUV in the segment to offer mild-hybrid tech.

On the interior front, the all-new Brezza gets a new dual-tone black and brown dashboard design and a host of several segment-first features like a new 9.0-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a 360-degree camera, Arkamys sound system, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charging, connected car tech, head-up display, and rear AC vents, among others.

On the safety front, the 2022 Brezza gets six airbags and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist as standard across all variants. Other features include reverse parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, ISOFIX rear anchorages, etc.

The All-New Brezza will be priced from Rs 41.99 Lakh onwards in the Nepalese market.
