According to Volkswagen, this dealers’ meet accentuated multiple aspects of the current market along with the product positioning for the upcoming Taigun SUV. This event has helped to address the inadequacies and shortcomings at the dealers’ front and supports that are to be provided by the parent company. Pooja International has been planning to launch the new Taigun SUV at a very competitive price.

The company has also announced the extension of their dealer networks in five new locations, namely Birtamode, Dang, Nepalgunj, and two additional areas in Kathmandu Valley. With these additions, there will be a total of 12 Volkswagen dealers outlet all over Nepal, expanding the reach of  Volkswagen vehicles.

Speaking at the event, Bibek Bijukchhe, CEO of Pooja International Nepal Pvt Ltd said, “The upcoming Taigun will be a game-changer SUV in this segment as it comes equipped with all the signature qualities of Volkswagen. It will be best suited for audiences who do not fear modernization and changes that come along with it. Compared to its traditional engine counterparts, the TSI engine provides the same power in lesser displacement with higher torque at lower band rpm; one will surely feel the quickness of the TSI engine over traditional engines.”

Although the Volkswagen Taigun is based on the same ‘MQB A0 IN’ platform as the Skoda Kushaq, the Taigun has a distinct design, and it will come loaded to the brim with premium features.  As per our sources, the Taigun will arrive in Nepal by September 2021 and it will be priced very attractively, tentatively between Rs 52 Lakh-Rs 69 Lakh. The compact SUV will be available in three trims – Comfortline, Highline, and Trendline.

The Taigun will go against rivals like Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, and Nissan Kicks.
