Wuling Starlight Is An Electric Sedan With a 100 kW motor

SAIC-GM-Wuling has unveiled the official images of its inaugural sedan, the Wuling Starlight. The Wuling Starlight which employs the company’s fresh design language is offered in both pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric variant.

The BEV variant has a closed-grilled design while the PHEV variant gets a dotted matrix on the front grille. In terms of dimensions, the 5-seater Starlight electric sedan measures 4385mm x 1860mm x 1515mm (LxWxH) and boasts a wheelbase of 2800mm. Powered by a LFP battery, the Starlight gets a 100 kW motor and a limited top speed of 150 km/h. The sedan gets 18″ wheels and 215/50 R18 tires. The PHEV variant, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.5L petrol engine to deliver 104.6 bhp.

SAIC-GM-Wuling is a joint venture of GM, SAIC and Guangxi Automobile Group based in Liuzhou, Guangxi. The JV is popular for its bestselling product, Wulling Mini EV.

The Wuling Starlight is expected to be around 150,000 yuan, which is equivalent to Nrs 27 Lakh.
