Yamaha Nepal has commenced the bookings of the Aerox 155 maxi-scooter in the Nepalese market. The Aerox 155 which will be launched by mid-April can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000. As far as the pricing is concerned, expect the Aerox 155 to cost around Rs 4,85,000 in our market.

The Aerox 155 is a maxi-scooter that is powered by the same 155cc engine as the Yamaha R15 V4, but with a CVT gearbox. The Aerox 155 puts out 14.79 bhp @ 8000 rpm and a torque of 13.9 Nm @ 6250 rpm, making it powerful than any other scooter on sale in Nepal. For reference, the scooter’s closest rival Aprilia SXR 160 has just 10.84 BHP and 11.6Nm of output.

The Aerox 155  sits on an undertone chassis and is suspended by twin shock absorbers at the rear and telescopic forks at the front. Similarly, it also comes equipped with large 14-inch wheels and wide 110/80-14 and 140/70-14 tyres at the front and rear respectively. In terms of highlights, the Aerox comes with a large negative-LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, start-stop tech, LED lighting and 24.5-litre under-seat storage. The fuel tank capacity stands at a tiny 4.6l fuel tank.

The Aerox 155 has an underbone design with a prominent spine section. As far as features go, it has a large 25-litre under-seat storage space. Other features include digital instrumentation, start-stop tech, LED lighting, a charging socket and Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes equipped with large 14-inch wheels at both ends and a wide 140-section rear tyre.

The R15-based maxi-performance scooter will be available in two colours – Racing Blue & Grey Vermillion.
