Ford is gearing up to unveil its all-electric, Mustang-inspired SUV across the globe on November 17, 2019. The electric SUV will reportedly be called Mach 1 or Mach E.
AllCarNews produced a series of CAD renderings based on the latest teaser. The Mustang-inspired EV gets similar tri-bar taillights, swooping roofline, and rear haunches. Ford hasn’t said much about this upcoming electric SUV, but it has a video of a prototype electric vehicle being tested on a snow-covered track. Similarly, another video shows a prototype doing high-speed rounds on a raceway.
The Mustang-inspired SUV will come standard with a Ford Mobile Charger that can charge regardless of outlet power (120- and 240-volt outlets); for those with longer commutes or who want greater peace of mind, a Ford Connected Charge Station can fully power a vehicle overnight while they sleep. Ford is collaborating with Amazon in the U.S. for installation services – from 240V outlets to the Ford Connected Charge Station.
Ford is investing $11.5 billion in electrified vehicles through 2022 and is focused on the customer journey from end to end, including education ahead of purchase, and an easy shopping and ownership experience. The company recently announced partnerships with both Volkswagen and Rivan to help kick-start its EV journey.
